FPL FiberNet’s internet service offers customers direct transit access that guarantees port bandwidths under a Committed Bandwidth Rate (CBR) to our peers and transit worldwide Tier I service providers. FPL FiberNet’s Internet Service allows customers to burst up to the physical port speed hand-off as part of the product service.
FPL FiberNet is able to leverage its extensive, fiber-rich, optical transport network to provide a high degree of transport redundancy and bandwidth, keeping router hand-offs and processing (causing delays) to a minimum. We can provide our enterprise and government customers with high-quality, highly redundant internet access service at reduced costs, translating into better prices and very attractive Service Letter Agreements.
FPL FiberNet’s Internet Access Service offers multiple features such as:
- Various types of physical transport hand-offs at the customer premise are available including TDM capacity at the T1/E1s, DS-3s, OC-n/STM-ns, wavelengths and Ethernet, with either electrical or optical port hand-offs.
- High-Performance MPLS-based over wavelength highly redundant connectivity using route control technology which allows FPL- FiberNet to optimally maintain traffic optimization to multiple Tier I Internet Service Providers.
- Geographically diverse, multi-homed service highly increasing reliability via inter-metro, hi-capacity redundant connectivity among the transit and peering points; greatly reducing or effectively eliminating instances of data loss, latency and jitter, due to unpredictable upstream provider route congestion.
- Transport-level protection and bundling of services for on-net facility based capacity.
