FPL FiberNet to host Career Fair in Miami

MIAMI, Fla. -- FPL FiberNet, the new telecommunications subsidiary of FPL Group selling fiber-optic networks, is hosting a career fair at its Miami headquarters Saturday, June 3. Experienced professionals are invited to attend the career fair, learn more about FPL FiberNet and meet the company leaders. Positions are available in Miami and select cities throughout Florida.

The career fair will be held from 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. at FPL FiberNet headquarters, 9250 W. Flagler Street. Applicants must present government-issued identification and a qualified resume to be admitted to the career fair and considered for open positions. Hiring managers will be authorized to extend career offers on-site to applicants who meet position requirements.

FPL FiberNet sells fiber-optic networks to Internet service providers, telephone, cable television and other telecommunications companies. The company was formed in January, 2000, is already profitable and expects to achieve first-year revenues of $30 to $40 million. On May 24, FPL FiberNet announced a contract valued at as much as $110 million to lease dark fiber to SBC Communications Inc.
