Carmen M. Perez
Carmen Perez joined FPL FiberNet in 2004 and was named president of FPL FiberNet in January 2007 after having served as vice president of sales and as controller and director of accounting.
Prior to joining FPL FiberNet, Ms. Perez served in the customer service organization of Florida Power & Light Company as director of revenue recovery. Before that, she served as FPL's director of corporate accounting and assistant controller.
From 1982 to 1989, Ms. Perez was a certified public accountant with the accounting firm of Deloitte & Touche, where she specialized in the management of audits of large financial and governmental institutions.
Ms. Perez holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Florida International University.
Vice President, Business Development and Carrier Sales
Tony Matthews joined FPL FiberNet in 2014 as vice president of business development and carrier sales. Mr. Matthews is responsible for leading wholesale sales and business development.
With more than 25 years of sales, marketing, and operational experience, Mr. Matthews previously led large sales and marketing organizations serving the energy, information technology, and telecommunications sectors. Before joining FPL FiberNet, he served as vice president of mass markets at Gexa Energy. In that role, he was responsible for the profitable growth of the residential business and oversaw marketing, call centers, online, outbound, affinity, and alternative sales channels throughout the US. Prior to joining Gexa, Mr. Matthews held several executive level sales and marking roles at Cox Communications, Scientific-Atlanta, and Comcast/NBC, where he primarily focused on growing revenues in new markets and turning around existing business operations.
Mr. Matthews has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Old Dominion and a Master of Business Administration from William & Mary.
Vice President, Customer Operations
April Reynolds joined FPL FiberNet in 2007 and was named vice president of customer operations in 2014 after having served as director of customer operations and director of customer relations and marketing. Ms. Reynolds is responsible for all aspects of end-to-end service delivery including customer care, provisioning, site acquisition, construction and project management. In addition, she oversees customer billing and collections activities.
Prior to joining FPL FiberNet, Ms. Reynolds held several leadership positions with Florida Power & Light Company. During her tenure at FPL, she managed numerous functions for FPL's customer service organization, including customer care, customer billing and revenue recovery. Additionally, she has led planning and analytical groups at FPL.
Ms. Reynolds also played an active role in FPL's quality-improvement efforts, facilitating priority deployment, analytical problem solving and process management activities.
Vice President, Finance
Matt Ulman joined FPL FiberNet in 2014 as vice president of finance. In this role, Mr. Ulman is responsible for all financial analysis, accounting and financial reporting. Prior to joining FPL FiberNet, he held several financial roles at NextEra Energy in its wind and nuclear fleets.
Before joining NextEra Energy, Mr. Ulman was a principal at The Boston Consulting Group, working in a variety of industries on strategy and operational initiatives. He also served as a submarine officer in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Ulman holds a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
Vice President, Enterprise Sales & Marketing
Lonnie Maier joined FPL FiberNet in 2010 and was named vice president of enterprise sales and marketing in late 2014 after having served as director and manager of enterprise sales for the Florida market.
Prior to joining FPL FiberNet, Ms. Maier spent over 25 years in the telecommunications arena with director posts at both Nortel and BellSouth. In between corporate positions, she founded Maier & Associates, an independent telecommunications consulting business.
Ms. Maier earned her Master of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship from Nova Southeastern University and a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University.
Director, Network Strategy and Product Development
Susan Campbell joined FPL FiberNet in 2014 as director of network strategy and product development. Ms. Campbell is responsible for the development of future network strategies, product development and wireless colocation.
Ms. Campbell brings over 20 years in telecommunication experience to FPL FiberNet. Prior to joining FPL FiberNet, she served as director of telecommunications at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), where she was responsible for the wireline and wireless communication services. She was also the executive director of Southern Lightrail (SLR) where she managed Georgia Tech’s Research Network entity supporting Internet2 and National Lambda Rail connectivity for the southeast. Most of Ms. Campbell's career was spent with BellSouth where she held positions of increasing responsibility. She served as president of BellSouth Internet Exchange, Inc. and was also a senior director in the BellSouth.net strategy and business development group.
Ms. Campbell holds a Bachelor of Political Science from the University of Georgia.
Vice President, Network Engineering and Operations
Sheldon Jordan joined FPL FiberNet in 2000 and was named vice president of engineering and operations in 2014 after having served as director of network operations. Mr. Jordan brings more than 18 years of telecommunications experience including both wireline and wireless sides of the business. He is responsible for network planning and engineering functions, as well as managing the reliability and maintenance of FPL FiberNet's robust fiber-optic and electronic network.
During his tenure with FPL FiberNet, Mr. Jordan served in a variety of roles including program manager of wireless backhaul solutions, senior network planner, technical manager of outside plant documentation and inventory management, and technical manager of inside plant engineering. Before joining FPL FiberNet, he served as an engineer in the distribution business unit of Florida Power and Light Company, where he was responsible for engineering and implementation of customer driven construction projects. Prior to that, Mr. Jordan served as a network technical engineer at Sprint's International-Private Line Service, where he managed automation and network enhancement projects.
Mr. Jordan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University.
