Joseph Oster

Director, Engineering and Operations

Joseph Oster joined FPL FiberNet in 2007 and was named director of engineering and operations in 2009 after having served as director of operations. He brings more than 23 years of telecommunications experience spanning both wireline and wireless sides of the business in the domestic and international arenas. 

Prior to joining FPL FiberNet, he held senior manager and director level positions in operations, engineering and network facilities at T-Mobile USA. Before that, Oster served as general manager and vice president at Primus International, a company providing domestic and international voice and private line services.     

From 1983 to 1995, he designed, implemented and managed networks for inter-exchange carriers (IXC) where he developed his broad base of experience during the rapid growth of the competitive telecommunications industry.

Oster holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electronic engineering technology from DeVry Institute of Technology.
